12/18/14-12/19/14

Students reviewed Greek mythology and took a quiz.  Tomorrow I will show  a video on Ancient Greece with a listening quiz to follow.  There will be no homework assigned for the winter break.

My science fair students please work on your projects over the break.  You will never be ready to present  on January 12th or 13th if you do not prepare over the break.

Tomorrow is our homeroom party.  Please  feel free to  bring treats  to share.  We have 37 students in our homeroom.  Remember you may dress down tomorrow.  Also, bring a grab bag gift worth $5.00, and receive a gift.

Bring a lunch because pizza is served after 1:00, and is meant to be a snack.

Have a wonderful winter  break.  Be safe and  see ya next year!

12/11/14

Students received  the  rubric for judging the science project.  Due to the large volume of participants I will need to begin presentations the week of January 12th.  I will give you the presentation date next week.  Students also received a display board handout, which we made  a few corrections on.  The green book must be returned to me , so do not write  in it.  Use it  for  a guide.  Use pages 4 and 5 to help  you identify the variables.  Skip page 6, there is not a research paper due.  Use pages 7-9 to guide you through listing the materials and writing the procedure.Pages 12- 14 will guide you through collecting data and displaying results.  It will help with writing the conclusion and presenting and preparing you display board.  Do not use the checklist on page 15, rather use the rubric as  a checklist.  The rubric, particularly roman numeral III. will help you with writing your conclusion and what you should  know about the topic surrounding your project.  Do not procrastinate!  Get going!!!!

You must work alone to be considered for the zoo.  You may work with a partner, no more than four, if your goal is to present in the classroom and receive extra credit, but will NOT be considered for the fair at the zoo.
