12/11/14

Students received  the  rubric for judging the science project.  Due to the large volume of participants I will need to begin presentations the week of January 12th.  I will give you the presentation date next week.  Students also received a display board handout, which we made  a few corrections on.  The green book must be returned to me , so do not write  in it.  Use it  for  a guide.  Use pages 4 and 5 to help  you identify the variables.  Skip page 6, there is not a research paper due.  Use pages 7-9 to guide you through listing the materials and writing the procedure.Pages 12- 14 will guide you through collecting data and displaying results.  It will help with writing the conclusion and presenting and preparing you display board.  Do not use the checklist on page 15, rather use the rubric as  a checklist.  The rubric, particularly roman numeral III. will help you with writing your conclusion and what you should  know about the topic surrounding your project.  Do not procrastinate!  Get going!!!!

You must work alone to be considered for the zoo.  You may work with a partner, no more than four, if your goal is to present in the classroom and receive extra credit, but will NOT be considered for the fair at the zoo.
